August 2025
Village & Town of Ellicottville Launches Downtown Revitalization Effort with G&G Municipal Consulting
The Village of Ellicottville has partnered with G&G Municipal Consulting to prepare and submit an application for the 2025 Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and NY Forward programs. Leading the effort will be G&G Senior Grant Writer Scott Burto, and Hailey Grasso, who, along with their support team, has successfully secured DRI/NY Forward funding for three communities over the past two years.
This partnership aims to build on Ellicottville’s unique character and community vision, with a strong focus on public participation. Residents, business owners of any size, and stakeholders held  the first public input meeting, on Friday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Center, 28 Parkside Drive, Ellicottville, NY 14731.
The meeting was to provide an opportunity for the community to help shape the future of Ellicottville’s downtown, ensuring the application reflects local priorities and goals. A survey was handed out at the meeting. We are asking the Community to complete the survey and return it to the email address located at the top of the form. Click link for survey

Ellicottville is a vibrant community nestled in the Southern Tier of Western New York, in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains. While it is renowned for its ski resorts—Holiday Valley and Holimont—it is also an exceptional year-round destination and a wonderful place to live.
We are pleased to welcome you to the Town and Village Hall, centrally located in the heart of the Village of Ellicottville. Here, you will find both the Town and Village Clerk's offices conveniently housed under one roof.
Many people often ask about the difference between the Village and the Town of Ellicottville. In brief, the Village covers one square mile within the Town and has its own independent governing body. The Village was established to provide services tailored to its more densely populated area, which may not be feasible for the Town's rural residents. While all Village residents live within the Town, residents of the Town who live outside the Village's designated square mile are not considered Village residents.
We hope that the information available on our website provides you with a clear understanding of both the Village and Town governments and the services we offer. Please don't hesitate to visit or reach out by phone if you have any questions or concerns.
We welcome your feedback and suggestions!
